Editorial & Disclosure Policy
This statement explains how we operate Street Photography Magazine. It outlines our editorial approach, how we review or discuss products and services, and how we handle advertising, sponsorships, and affiliate relationships.
Street Photography Magazine is not a traditional news organization. We are photographers, educators, and commentators who share insights on photography, storytelling, and the photographic process. While we strive to uphold journalistic standards—especially when presenting factual information—our work is ultimately shaped by our experience, perspective, and editorial judgment.
Our primary goal is to serve our audience. We aim to recommend what we genuinely believe is useful, relevant, and valuable to photographers. As the industry evolves, so do we—our opinions may change as equipment, techniques, and trends develop.
We make every reasonable effort to ensure that factual information is accurate and fairly presented. That said, our content is primarily focused on education, inspiration, and thoughtful commentary rather than breaking news. Our editorial decisions are guided by independent judgment—not by advertisers, sponsors, or outside influence.
Advertising & Affiliate Relationships
At this time, Street Photography Magazine does not run third-party advertising and does not use affiliate links.
If this changes in the future, we will clearly disclose any advertising, sponsorships, or affiliate relationships. Any such partnerships will be presented transparently and will not influence our editorial integrity.
Editorial Independence
We do not sell editorial content and do not accept payment in exchange for reviews. We do not hold equity in any companies, events, or organizations we cover. Our reviews and recommendations are based solely on our independent evaluation and experience.
Contributor Responsibility & Accuracy
Many of the stories and documentary projects we publish are created by contributing photographers and writers. Contributors are responsible for the accuracy of the information they provide, including captions, context, and factual claims.
While we review submissions for clarity, quality, and alignment with our editorial standards, we do not independently verify every factual detail within contributor work. If errors are identified, we will make reasonable efforts to correct them.
In addition, as stated in our content policy, authors are allowed to speak their mind on any subject, but their opinions do not necessarily reflect the opinions of SPM’s publisher.
Ongoing Updates
We provide this information so our readers and listeners can make informed decisions about the content we publish. This policy may be updated periodically as our practices evolve.
