Do you have a dream to publish a photo book of your work but don’t know where to start?
If so, you will be pleased to learn that we have partnered with street photographer, author and educator Harvey Stein to bring you a special remote workshop about publishing a photo book.
During this 7-week hands-on course Harvey, a veteran publisher of photo books, will work directly with participants to generating book ideas, identifying potential publishers, sequencing photographs, writing book proposals, how to present to publishers and much more. See this for more information.
The class will meet live via Zoom each Tuesday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 Pm EST for 7 weeks beginning Tuesday, January 26.
Harvey, is a professional photographer and longtime instructor at The International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York, who has published nine street and documentary photo books during his career (his 10th book is scheduled for publication in 2022). He’s been featured in the magazine and our podcast several times over the years.
Last fall I took a course with Harvey through ICP about photographing people. He was inspiring and provided expert feedback and encouragement that I needed. For me personally it was a transformational experience.
I’m not making this stuff up. I paid for the course like everyone else and got more than my money’s worth.
And it was my personal experience that prompted me to reach out to Harvey to teach a course for our community.
This course is the first of many that we plan to offer members of the Street Photography Magazine community this year.
