SPM Facebook Group member Gary Norman posted this brilliant video he made during a very rainy day of street shooting in London. He originally made the trip into the city well before dawn to make a photo of St. Paul’s Cathedral before sunrise. He certainly did and the finished product is amazing. So nice I will be including it in an article in an upcoming issue of the magazine. After he nailed his cathedral shot he pressed on to shoot on the streets the remainder fo the day.
It was a very miserable day weather-wise and during the shoot he wondered if the light was good enough to get any good shots. That he did, which you can see on the video. Personally I think rainy days make excellent light for shooting outdoors…if you (and your gear) can stand getting wet.
Gary said in the video that he “composed photos of architecture with a human element” and wondered if it’s street photography. I say “Hell Yes.” Great stuff, so check it out.
