We’re back again with our 25th issue of Street Photography Magazine. This month we have plenty in store for you.
First, you can enjoy Ivan Tykhy’s light and airy shots of Portugal, which make the city appear to be brimming over with the sun’s rays and beautiful architecture. After viewing the photo’s we’re sure you’ll agree, this city is one of the many places where travel and street photography meet and easily become entwined.
Next we have a poignant article from Gerry Suchi entitled “The Invisible Ones of Washington, D.C.” Gerry describes his project, which involves taking street portraits of the homeless in Washington, D.C. Gerry’s efforts to raise awareness about these individuals – people just like you and I who have become invisible because of their homelessness – is truly touching.
This month’s featured photographer is Sandip Bose. He was the winner of this year’s URBAN street photography competition, even though he is quite new to street photography. We’re sure you will enjoy his remarkable photographs and his audio interview, where he describes how he stumbled upon his passion, street photography.
Our hand-picked Street Shooters of the Month are back as well, with some artfully crafted shots they originally shared with us in the Street Photography Magazine Flickr group. Be sure to view their work and join the group if you haven’t already.
Finally, you may have read about the URBAN 2015 street photography contest in our blog a few months back. Well, the results are in and we would like to not only announce the winners of the selection, but also share their stunning images with you, so be sure to take a look.
