The call for entries is open for a juried group show titled “The Audacity of Hope”. The show will be held at Garner Center for Photographic Exhibitions in Massachusetts.
Here’s more from the organizers:
Artists are invited to submit thematic work which celebrates the tenacity of the human spirit and perseverance in the face of adversity. All genres of photography are welcome including still life, landscape, portraiture, documentary, photo illustration, photographic collage/mixed media and beyond.
The exhibition is open to all photographers working in analog and digital mediums, color and black & white, including alternative processes. Any format, camera, and style is acceptable. Maximum framed image size is 24”x36”, square pieces should be a 30” on the longest side.
Sounds like an excellent competition for street photographers if you ask me. The entry deadline is October 31, 2019. So there’s still time to shoot some images specifically for the theme. The fee for entry is $25 for four images. The contest’s guest juror this year (this is the 4th annual juried group show put on by the New England School of Photography) is Paula Tognarelli, Executive Director of the Griffin Museum of Photography.
The exibition will run from December 3rd to January 3rd and an opening reception will take place Tuesday, December 10th at 6pm. The Garner Center for Photographic Exhibitions is located at
274 Moody St, Waltham, MA 02453
