Surreal Analogies: A Project by Cristóbal Carretero Cassinello

If the name Cristóbal Carretero Cassinello sounds familiar to you, you may recall that last year, he was the featured photographer in our March issue. Even then, something we loved about Cristóbal’s work was his minimalist, often abstract style. Well, he’s done it again, this time with a project that will leave your debating a chicken or egg kind of conundrum and asking, what did Cristóbal see first? The painting or the image?

It’s called Surreal Analogies and the project is all about metaphysical correlations between the paintings of René, Magritte, Salvador Dalí, Pablo Picasso, Giorgio de Chirico, Vladimir Kush and the street photography of Cristóbal Carretero Cassinello.
