If you are in NYC this weekend, there is a street photography gallery being held that you will definitely want to stop in and see. The gallery features images taken by Donna Ferrato, Mark de Paola, Phil Penman, Dimitri Mellos, Joana Toro and Greg Brophy and is curated by Alice Gabriner, a former International Photo Editor for TIME and James Wellford, a Senior Photo Editor at National Geographic.
The gallery is being held Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM EST at the Caelum Gallery on West 26th Street.
Here’s how Loculars describes the event:
“Dreamers come to the city hoping to find their way. A young Ukranian model backstage at a midtown fashion show, a Latina transsexual in a dressing room in Jackson Heights, and new immigrants walking the streets of Chinatown. From the dystopian landscape of Willets Point to the singular beauty of Tribeca, Loculars presents the work of accomplished New York photographers who have found passion in exploring a unique patch of the city. In the process, they have artfully frozen in time quotidian moments most of us pass by or never get to see.”
