San Francisco and Alcatraz Workshop with Harvey Stein and Virginia Hines

Harvey Stein and Virginia Hines are hosting an exciting three-day workshop this October. The workshop will consist of short talks, demonstrations and photographic field trips to Alcatraz and places of interest in and around San Francisco. Key topics include ways of capturing character, methods of approaching and photographing strangers on the street, the use of light (both natural and flash) as an expressive and aesthetic element of the photograph and techniques of posing and interacting with subjects.

Both Harvey and Virginia are talented photographers and excellent teachers, so you can expect to learn a lot from this experience. How can you sign up? Here’s the details:

  • When: October 22-24, 2021
  • Tuition: $650 (Includes the ferry and entrance fee to Alcatraz.) You can pay by check or Venmo
  • Registration: To sign up, email Harvey Stein at hsteinfoto@aol.com
