I love to shoot people that [other] people turn a blind eye to when they walk down the street…I want to throw that in your face, because this is what’s out there.” – Ron Corbin
Ron Corbin is working on his life’s goal, which is to take photographs that hold meaning for other people. When you see his images I’m sure you’ll agree that he is reaching that goal with each shot he takes. What makes Ron’s work stand out in a growing sea of street photography? It’s the glimpse of humanity that most people prefer not to think about or even acknowledge because it makes life seem unfair and can be uncomfortable. But truth be told, painful as it is, life is often unfair and some people are dealt a hand that no human being would wish upon another.
Ron reveals scenes of street life that expose human suffering and the people experiencing it. His work is poignant and at times heart-rending, but it’s real – all of it.
