This year there is a huge artists’ event going on in Paris, which will feature Corinne Wargnier, the author of “Visions of Vietnam” in issue 22 of Street Photography Magazine. If Corinne is there, you can be sure there will plenty of top-notch artists and a touch of street photography as well.
Here’s a brief description of the event (translated) from their Facebook page:
“After the overwhelming success of the first two editions, PARISARTISTES# returns to the delight of Parisians, enthusiasts, collectors, art lovers and artists!
This year, one hundred artists will be selected to share their work and their vision of art with the public throughout the weekend of 7 to 9 October 2016.
PARISARTISTES# is not a simple exhibition is an artistic journey that mixes passion, creation, transmission and expertise. Artists’ studios, galleries and partner venues open their doors together to reveal all their secrets. It explores the intimacy of an artist, we discover and sharing emotions through form and matter…”
This collective exhibition will be held from October 6 – 9 this year and will feature some amazing works from the 100 selected artists.
A long list of partners will open their doors and exhibit many of the works, including the Hall of Saint Pierre Museum, the Convent of the Recollet, Villa Belleville, the Special School of Architecture, as well as many 4 and 5 star hotels and art galleries.
One of the exhibitions will focus on “Special Women Photographers” at the town hall beginning October 9th and lasting for the entire month of October, 2016.
The event will be judged by a panel of jurors and winners will receive awards.
