Magnum Presents – The Day Trump Won

After a contentious Presidential race which brought about many firsts, Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton on Election Day. Magnum photographers, in the US and abroad, covered events on election night and the day after. From the mood on the streets to personal reflections, they captured authored perspectives on the world on November 9, 2016.

If you haven’t taken a look at this Magnum Photos piece, click the link now and take a look. This is what I would call a street photography perspective on a day that made history. The perspectives are from just about every angle you can think of and each has its own set of deep emotional responses and reflections. It’s documentary, it’s street, it’s a perfect mix.

Be sure to check it out and if you are working on your own “Trump USA” project – whatever the angle – we’d love to see it. Check out the photo project tips page for details on how to submit your project for review.
