iN-PUBLiC members Gus Powell of New York and Charalampos Kydonakis (aka dirtyharrry) of Crete will come together on the spring streets of NYC to agree and disagree about “taking” and “making” pictures, “hunting” and “gathering”, visual communication and poetic storytelling, and other topics as they conduct a workshop that will emphasize both shooting and editing.

So that’s what’s going on. When and where you ask? April 22 – 24, 2016 on the streets of NYC. The workshop is only open to 18 intermediate to advanced students, so if you’re interested, sign up quick. You can register here. The cost of the workshop is $600.
On a side note, if you aren’t familiar with iN-PUBLiC, definitely check them out. They are a non-commercial collective that’s been up and running since 2000. They invite photographers that have the ability to see the unusual in their everyday habitat and capture those moments. They comment that, “the pictures remind us that, if we let it, over-familiarity can make us blind to what’s really going on in the world around us.” So true…
On the iN-PUBLiC website you’ll find more info about the workshops they put on from time to time, general information about street photography and the bios and galleries of several inspiring street photographers. Believe me, it’s a site worth visiting.
