I am thrilled to have the opportunity to attend the 2016 Photo London exposition in May and will be reporting on street photography aspects of the event for Street Photography Magazine. Photo London is a large international photography fair that was founded just last year but is already known as an important celebration of the continuing importance of photography as a global art form. The 2016 festival will bring together 80 of the world’s leading galleries along with a public program of talks, book signings and other events.
Of special interest for street photographers in 2016 is this year’s “Master of Photography” Don McCullin, best known for his war photography and London street photography documenting homelessness, as well as other documentary projects. In addition, musician Graham Nash of Crosby Stills & Nash fame, who is also an accomplished artist and street photographer, will be in attendance as a special guest.
Photo London runs May 19-22 with events based at Somerset House in the heart of the city. Stay tuned for more and keep up with the latest festival news on Twitter via #PhotoLondonFair16.
