How did you become interested in street photography?
I am interested in street photography because it is so much fun and has many surprises and challenges. I am very happy to meet strangers on the streets, especially in my city, because sometimes they joke around when I photograph them.
Where do you live? Do you shoot mostly in your city? Where are your favorite places to shoot?
I live in Bandung, West Java. Indonesia, and yes I photograph a lot in my city. I want to record civilization in my city through street photography.
My favorite places to take pictures are downtown, traditional markets and other public places. Or if there is a place that has a lot of activity then that will be my favorite place to shoot.
Who has been the biggest influence on your street photography?
The most influential photographers in my street photography are Sam Bara, Chris Tuarissa, Tirta Trinanda and all my best friends.
This image is great:
Can you tell me how you got it?
It is a practicing parkour athlete, he jumps through the obstacles. I took a low angle to take this picture, so that the subject seemed to be flying in a blue sky. And I used the continuous mode.
What has street photography taught you?
Yes! Street photography taught me a lot about courage, patience, honesty, emotion and street photography also taught me to be a fun person when shooting on the streets.
