The July issue of Street Photography Magazine is now available for download! This month’s issue focuses on improving your street photography skills. It’s chock-full with tips and insights from some experienced professional/street photographers.
First up is an interview with Enric Fradera, a brilliant professional photographer who has taken his talent to the street in search of the special feeling that comes with shooting whatever comes your way, never knowing what to expect around the next corner. Enric shares some excellent sources of inspiration from the world of filmmakers and he also discusses what is involved in developing your own style.
Next up is a super practical article from Michael Walker-Toye with some tips for building confidence on the street. If you find yourself missing shots because you feel anxious or uncomfortable shooting strangers on the street, this article will give you the confidence boost you need to never pass up another opportunity.
Keith Moss, a master photographer and teacher, takes us to an off-the-beaten-path in the article, “Street Photography in Eyüp, Istanbul.” Eyüp is home to thousands of people with a very traditional way of life but it is now facing the challenge of change and modernization, two factors which make it an ideal place to shoot the streets. Been to Milan lately? Joan Vendrell, another pro photographer with an eye for street photography and a gift for teaching, shared his experience in this gorgeous city. He combines his images with 20 tips you should definitely put into practice if you are looking to take your street photography to the next level.
Wrapping up this edition is our monthly feature, “Street Shooters of the Month.” As always, we’ve received several powerful images from members of our community we know you’ll find inspiring.
