At the base of Chicago’s Crown Fountain, a boy walks calmly along the water’s edge as the wall sheets down behind him. Where everyone else darted and shrieked through the spray, he took his time – a small, unhurried figure dwarfed by the scale of falling water and glass brick, cooling off on a hot summer afternoon.
