In Your Face by Gavin Libotte
Getting up close and personal. The black and white finish accentuating the charm of this classic street shot. It’s an amusing image capturing a unique moment, and cleverly and unexpectedly, the composition is reversed as the people frame the scene and the architectural backdrop becomes a point of focus. Photographed in Barcelona a few years back on a little walking tour with some friends. At the time, I had my camera loaded with Black and While film and felt monochrome wouldn’t do the scene justice, so I borrowed my friend’s digital camera to record this scene in color. It’s been one of my favorite street images. My friend told me thatches location is not in existence anymore and been replaced by a modern office building.
