This is a photograph from a period of uncertainty in March where people didn’t know which way the now pandemic was going. As things are still unclear I think this photo fits the current narrative really well.

America is Not In Service by Thomas Backus
This was taken at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport on March 28, 2020. I knew the airport would be empty, but nothing had prepared me for what I saw. As I walked past the check-in desks, all the kiosks simply said, “Not In Service.” I immediately thought to myself, “America is not in Service.”
