Street Photography Magazine’s “Year of Women” continues, this month with Thouly Dosios as our featured photographer. Thouly has a B.A. in Visual Studies from Harvard University and an M.F.A. in Film Directing from UCLA. In addition, she is a member of the Los Angeles Street Collective. She’s had plenty of opportunities to learn from and work with prominent photographers and with a background like that, you can imagine what a sharp eye she has for capturing special moments on the street. More recently, Thouly was the single image winner of the LACP exhibit “Street Shooting Around the World” but she’d been on our radar even before then, so you can image how delighted we were to have her featured here in the magazine.
Thouly is fun and easy to talk to and her perspective on street photography and what it means might just change how you feel when you head out to shoot. Click on the audio player below to listen in and get to know more about this talented street shooter.
