Sarah Simplot, perhaps better known as Sarah Street, joined us in this issue to talk about how she began street photography and how her style has continued to evolve over time. Sarah opened up about how a traumatic event in her life caused her to lose the ability to feel and how street photography was key in her recovery – it sparked feelings in her that she had feared would not reawaken. At first, her only knowledge of street photography came from a single video of Bruce Gilden. She jumped in imitating his approach and the connection with street photography was almost instantaneous.
