I couldn’t help but admire Carla Fiorina during our interview, and not just because she is a skilled photographer. Carla takes street photography very seriously. She doesn’t believe in instant photography for fast sharing on social networks, she’s not the competitive type, and she rarely sells her work. For her, street photography is about capturing people and telling relevant stories. In Carla’s words, ‘the street is her stage, and she is just one of the cast actors’.
Carla also excels at encouraging other photographers to ‘see’ the stories their street shots hold. She feels, as she explained during our interview, that street photography is history in the making.
